Kate Vander Velden (Samantha) is delighted to be joining the cast of Answers to Apathy! A Wisconsin native, she earned a BFA Acting degree and psychology degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Since moving to New York, she has continued studying at Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts, and has worked on a number of films including Numb (2014) and The Acquaintance (2014). Favorite roles to date include Li’l Bit (How I Learned to Drive), Stella Kowalski (A Streetcar Named Desire), and Katherine (Taming of the Shrew).
Haley Sullivan (Rainey) is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts '12, and a member of the 2013 New York Academy Company. A native Virginian, Haley moved to New York City to pursue her dream of sharing theatre with the world and since her arrival she has been lucky enough to work with such theatre companies as The Amoralists, The Pearl Theatre Company, and Our Bar by Project Theatre. Her previous work includes Macbeth (Lady Macbeth, Living Space Players), & The Matthew Portraits (Ruth, part of the Sam French OOB Short Play Festival). She is beyond thrilled to join the cast of Answers to Apathy, and cannot wait to share what they create with you all. Thank you everyone for your love and support!
Kelly Kirby (Maize) has appeared in shows across NYC, Westchester and Connecticut. Most recently she was seen as the Duke in an all female production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona with Red Monkey Theater Group. Other favorites include August Osage County (Barabara Fordham), Agnes of God (Dr. Martha Livingston), Hay Fever (Myra), The Three Sisters (Masha), Steele Magnolias (M’Lynne) and All In The Timing (Betty & Kafka). Kelly studied acting with Clyde Vinson and Mary Boyer after moving to NYC from Arkansas.
Natali de Assis (Shaina) is thrilled to make her New York theater debut with Hanging Cow Productions! Past performances include Fiona in Brigadoon, Helen in The Trojan Women, Marian in The Music Man, Rogue Opera’s Opera in the Schools’ Northwest tour, as well as involvement with student and short films in New York. She graduated cum laude from University of Oregon, and has been immersed in theater and vocal performance from a very young age. Kathryn Pace (Lill) is thrilled to be joining the Answers to Apathy Cast! A native Philadelphian, Kathryn has worked on a number of incredible projects since moving to New York City. Previous theatre productions include Night of the Creeps (Amica), Visiting Day (Charlene), Two Rooms (Laine) and Rent (Maureen). Kathryn was also lucky enough to write, record and release her debut CD ‘Survior EP’ in 2014. Which is available for purchase on iTunes! Tom Mezger (Barry) Originally from Sacramento, CA, graduated from Boston College in 2014 (Theater Arts and Psychology). He has performed, devised, and improvised in Boston, Seattle, Minneapolis, and New York. Favorite credits include The Three Musketeers, Closer, Walk Across America for Mother Earth, Spring Awakening, Jack and Jill, The 39 Steps, an original piece entitled Wait—Is This Graded?, and Seenus & Vureena: An Improvisation Exploration.
